Associate Pastor Position Application
About Us
New Jersey Gospel Mission Church (GMC) is a non-denominational, missional church located in Fairfield, New Jersey. We serve a multi-generational congregation predominantly composed of Korean and Korean-American believers while continuing to grow in number and cultural diversity. Our English-speaking Ministry (EM) encompasses college students, singles, married couples, and families, united by a shared commitment to growing in faith and building a Christ-centered community.
We affirm the Bible as the ultimate authority in the Church, shaping our beliefs on marriage, sexuality, gender, and the sanctity of life. Rooted in Scripture, we are committed to faithfully upholding the Word of God and living out this truth with boldness and conviction.
The Position
GMC is seeking an associate pastor with negotiable availability who has a heart for shepherding, discipling, and mobilizing the EM to develop and mature as a community of believers under the leadership of the senior pastor. This individual should love God, love people, and be gifted and called to church ministry to meet the spiritual needs of the congregation.
The associate pastor must understand how to connect with the unique sub-groups within our ministry, ranging from college students to individuals in their 20s-60s (singles to families). Our EM desires a pastor capable of integrating these groups to build a gospel-centered and missional ministry that pursues righteousness. This individual lives out the Great Commission by boldly sharing the Gospel—within their family, through one-on-one relationships in the church, and in the community.
Together with the senior pastor and lay leaders, and within the context of GMC’s mission and values, the associate pastor will be responsible for developing a comprehensive strategy to achieve this purpose.
